Postcard Image of The Original Curio Store, circa 1900
I took a picture in May 2010 in order to illustrate The Original Trading Post in Santa Fe, NM. That post has been, by far, the most popular piece on this blog site. The vintage postcard represented above reveals how little it's busy facade has changed since the turn of the 19th century.
I began this blog in order to share insights and adventures in buying Native American art creations.
For a fun and informative look at traditional Navajo jewelry see the 1925 silent film THE VANISHING AMERICAN based on one of Zane Grey's Western sagas. You can rent from Netflix or buy via Amazon.com. It is also available for online downloading.
